Michael Keith Stevens, 47, worked as an administrator, as a teacher and a coach in several schools in different parts of Texas, United States including Electra, Mesquite, Palacios and Vernon. In 2022, he was named superintendent at the Itasca Independent School District in Itasca, Hill County, Texas.

From April 2023 to May 2023, Stevens allegedly used an app to communicate with who he believed was a girl, 15, in Houston, Texas. The app preserves user anonymity and enables users to register without an email address or a phone number.

“Am I too old for you?” Stevens allegedly asked in one of the messages he sent. “So, you’re OK with my age? I’m probably too old for you. I’m 47 years old.”

Unbeknownst to Stevens, he was really communicating with an undercover officer. He allegedly sent explicit photos, asked for nude videos and images in return, described explicit scenarios and asked inappropriate questions.

The Itasca ISD superintendent is accused of saying he would consider divorcing his wife so he could marry the girl’s mother to have access to the girl. He allegedly said he wanted to travel to Houston and get a hotel room so he and the girl could meet and engage in sexual acts.
