The Miss Suomi 2023 coronation ceremony will be held at the Aino Areena in Järvenpää, Uusimaa, Finland on September 9, 2023. It is the 92nd edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Finland’s Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss International candidates.
On September 17, 2022, Petra Hämäläinen of Savonlinna was crowned Miss Suomi 2022 at Valkoinen Sali in Helsinki, Finland. Nana Partanen of Helsinki and Adelaide Botty van den Bruele of Sonkajärvi were the respective first and second runners-up.
Hämäläinen represented Finland at Miss Universe 2022 on January 14, 2023. The country will be represented by her at Miss International 2023 on October 26, 2023 and by van den Bruele at Miss World 2013 on December 8, 2023.
Currently, Finland has 18 Miss Universe placements including the coronations of Armi Kuusela in 1952 and Anne Marie Pohtamo in 1975. The most recent one was the second runner-up finish of Lola Odusoga in 1996.
Finland also has 18 Miss World placements including the coronation of Marita Lindahl in 1957. The most recent one was Krista Haapalainen‘s Top 25 finish in 2014.
In Miss International, Finland currently has 30 placements including the coronation of Anneli Björkling in 1973. The most recent one was in 2022 when Anna Merimaa finished in the Top 15.
