Jeremy Schobel, 31, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States and his wife is wife Megan Fisher Schobel are English teachers. They met at Temple University in Philadelphia.
Aside from Philadelphia, Jeremy has lived in other parts of Pennsylvania including Dalton. His parents Rob Schobel and Angela Schobel live in Glenburn Township, Pennsylvania while Megan’s parents Todd Fisher and Cathy Fisher live in Yardley, Pennsylvania.
On July 21, 2018, Jeremy and Megan got married in Crispin Hill, Penn Yan, New York, USA. At the time, he was an English teacher and girls’ softball coach at Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts in Philadelphia.
In 2021, Jeremy joined the Lower Merion School District and worked at Harriton High School in Rosemont, Pennsylvania as an English teacher. While working there, he allegedly created fake online profiles on SnapChat and Yubo.
In November 2022, Yubo tipped off investigators to Jeremy’s accounts, which appeared to be grooming underage girls. From December 24, 2022 to March 29, 2023, he allegedly used his fake Yubo and SnapChat profiles to pose as an underage girl to get sexually explicit photos of girls between the ages of 16 and 18.
On June 2, 2023, officials were granted a search warrant of Schobel’s residence in Philadelphia and he was brought into questioning. On June 7, 2023, Federal Bureau of Investigation agents arrested him.
On June 8, 2023, the Lower Merion School District suspended Jeremy’s employment and terminated his access to the district’s devices and networks. Represented by Joseph D’Andrea, Jeremy was charged with enticement of a minor to engage in illicit sexual conduct and manufacture and attempted manufacture of child pornography.
