Malott competes in the welterweight division. His fight name is Proper.
In 2008, Malott started training at House of Champions in Stoney Creek, Ontario with Kru Alin Halmagean. In 2009, he graduated from Hillfield Strathallan College in Hamilton, Ontario and started his Muay Thai and boxing training at Titan Fitness Academy in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
