Natalie Martin of Roseville, Ohio, United States has died. She was 18.
Martin attended Philo High School in Duncan Falls, Wayne Township, Muskingum County, Ohio. She left in 2020.
Days before Martin’s death, she went to Myrtle Beach, Horry County, South Carolina, USA with her boyfriend Blake William Linkous, 18, of Blue Rock, Blue Rock Township, Muskingum County, Ohio. He is accused of manually strangling her while they were in Myrtle Beach.
On June 7, 2023, a Horry County Police Department officer responded to a hotel room on Maison Drive in Myrtle Beach where Martin was found unresponsive. Suspicious circumstances were detected and medics pronounced her dead at the scene.
The Horry County Police Department is investigating Martin’s death. An autopsy will be conducted to determine her cause of death.
On June 8, 2023, Linkous was arrested by Horry County Police Department officers, charged with murder and booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center in Conway, Horry County. He is awaiting his bond hearing in court in Horry County.
