Farhad and Pañales were supposed to have their rematch at “BRAVE CF 70” in Ljubljana, Slovenia on April 23, 2023. However, it was cancelled after the Filipino contender was not able to travel due to visa issues.
Pañales trains at the DyIncredible Fighting and Fitness Center in Dasmariñas, Cavite, Philippines. The gym is owned by his mentor “DyIncredible” Rolando Gabriel Dy, 31, a retired MMA fighter who competed in BRAVE CF from 2017 to 2022.
In an interview with Pañales at the gym on June 12, 2023, he was asked to give a message to Mohammed before their “BRAVE CF 71” fight.
“Always be careful with your training,” Pañales said. “Make sure you don’t get injured. I don’t want my fight to be cancelled again.”
“I’ve been itching to fight again,” Dy’s protégé continued. “Good luck to both of us.”
