Roger Ray Schnitzler, 55, of Manteno, Kankakee County, Illinois, United States was the principal of Manteno High School in Manteno. Aside from Manteno, he has lived in other parts of Illinois including Elizabeth and Urbana.
In 2018, Schnitzler earned $98,762 as a principal. In the same year, he received from Kankakee Area Regional Vocational Education System and Kankakee Area Career Center director Matt Kelley a total of 35 Lenovo Chromebooks to be used by career technical education (CTE) students at Manteno High School.
In 2019, Schnitzler earned $104,777 as a principal. It increased to $107,920 in 2020 and $115,140 in 2021.
Schnitzler and his wife Sandra Schnitzler, 55, have a daughter who graduated from Manteno High School in 2022. Currently, the daughter is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in natural resources and environmental science at the University of Illinois in Urbana.
On June 15, 2023, Roger was arrested at the Kankakee River State Park in Bourbonnais, Kankakee County. He is accused of engaging in lewd activities at the park.
Roger was charged with disorderly conduct and aggravated assault. He resigned from his post effective June 20, 2023, the Manteno Community Unit School District 5 has confirmed.
