“The Landslide” Eduard Folayang, 39, officially opened the Landslide Martial Arts Training Center in La Trinidad, Benguet, Philippines on June 24, 2023. His wife Genevieve Folayang, Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt Gibran Langbayan, striking coach Darinton “Don-Don” Colas and several other professional mixed martial artists attended the opening ceremony.
Tublay, Benguet mayor Armando Lauro also graced the event. He represented Benguet congressman Eric Yap.
Lions Nation MMA
The Landslide Martial Arts Training Center will be the base of operations of Lions Nation MMA. Eduard founded the new MMA team alongside his fellow ONE Championship fighters “The Passion” Joshua Pacio, 27, “The Silencer” Kevin Belingon, 35, and “The Rock” Honorio Banario, 33.
“As we embark on this new journey together as a team, I cannot help but feel an overwhelming sense of excitement for what the future holds,” Belingon said. “We have assembled a remarkable band of practitioners, each bringing their unique skills and passion to the table.”
Joining Eduard, Pacio, Belingon and Banario on the Lions Nation MMA team are their fellow ONE Championship fighters “The Ferocious” Edward Kelly, 39, and “The Juggernaut” Jeremy Pacatiw, 27, and up-and-coming MMA fighters Estrada Donga-as, Denver Songaben, Aaron Posawen and Jahn Serbo. Langbayan and Colas are in-house trainers of the team.
Landslide Martial Arts Training Center
Providing a comprehensive space for training for martial artists and fitness enthusiasts, the Landslide Martial Arts Training Center is complete with a miniature cage for MMA scrimmages, an area for grappling drills and an assortment of punching bags. The facility also includes a sauna room for recovery and relaxation.
For Eduard, his new gym is “not just a place to train but a sanctuary where dreams are realized and legacies are born.” He said its vision is “to provide a holistic and complete training experience for every individual”.
“We don’t just train fighters,” Eduard said. “We unleash greatness within individuals. It’s not about the punches thrown or the techniques mastered but rather the transformative journey that occurs when you push beyond your limits, conquer your fears and discover the champion’s attitude within.”
