The Miss Universe Malta 2023 coronation night was held at the Hilton Conference Centre in Saint Julian’s, Malta on June 30, 2023. It is the seventh edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Malta’s Miss Universe candidate.
Malta has yet to have a Miss Universe placement. The European country was represented in the international beauty pageant by the winner of Miss Malta from 1968 to 1988 and from 1995 to 2001 and the winner of Miss Republic of Malta from 1989 to 1994 before going on hiatus from 2002 to 2015.
Under the directorship of Alan J. Darmanin, the first edition of Miss Universe Malta was held in 2016. Appointed Miss Universe Malta 2022 on April 10, 2022, Maxine Formosa won the Miss Congeniality award at Miss Universe 2022 on January 15, 2023.
