Vicki L. Lush, 66, of Port Saint Lucie, St. Lucie County, Florida, United States is Ernest “Ernie” Lush and Van Ness “Bunty” Maling Lush‘s daughter. Ernie served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
Bunty was born in Biddeford, York County, Maine, USA while Ernie was born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, USA. They got married on November 27, 1954.
On December 17, 2001, Bunty died at her residence in Kennebunkport, York County at age 72. On November 19, 2022, Ernie died at his winter home in Port St. Lucie at age 93.
In 2007, Vicki became the chief executive officer of Jackpot Fever in Port St. Lucie. As the company’s owner and sole employee, she was against the Senate Bill 1030, which would ban unauthorized slot machine gambling in Florida.
Then Florida senator John Thrasher, then 69, sponsored SB 1030. Before the bill was approved by the Florida Senate on April 4, 2013, Vicki told WFLX, “Thousands of jobs are going to be lost.”
“It’s going to put us out of business, as of next week, if they pass this bill,” Vicki continued. “We pay taxes. The internet doesn’t pay taxes. We employ people and it’s a trickle-down effect.”
On June 6, 2023, Vicki was at a retail seafood establishment in Kennebunkport where she encountered a woman of Korean descent. The later, who was visiting Maine from Massachusetts, was sampling chowder at the restaurant when the two women reportedly getting into an argument.
“You should go back to your country,” Vicki allegedly told the Korean-American woman, who she referred to as a “foreigner”. The latter responded, “You wouldn’t say this to a white person.”
Vicki allegedly responded by calling the Korean-American woman a “Chinese [expletive].” Their argument moved from inside the restaurant to the parking lot where Vicki threatened to hit the other woman with her van and swerved her van in the woman’s direction.
“You have no idea who you are messing with,” Vicki reportedly said. She also told the victim, “I’ll lay you out right here,” “Get out of my way or I’ll run you over” and “You foreigners need to go home.”
Born and raised in Dixmont, Penobscot County, Maine, USA, Aaron M. Frey, 43, served as a Democratic representative in the Maine House of Representatives from December 3, 2014 to December 5, 2018. He has been serving as the 58th attorney general of Maine since January 2, 2019.
On June 28, 2023, Frey announced that he has filed a civil rights enforcement action against Vicki, requesting a Superior Court judge to declare that she violated the Maine Civil Rights Act and to fine her up to $5,000 for each violation. He is requesting the judge to order her not to have any contact with the victim.
