Kimbrady Watson Carriker, 40, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States is accused of firing at least 50 shots in the area of 56th Street and Chester Avenue in Kingsessing, Philadelphia at around 8:30 p.m. on July 3, 2023 after leaving home. Several cars were struck.

At least five men were fatally shot. Four of them were 20, 22, 31 and 59.

Two children aged 2 and 13 were also injured. They were both in stable condition.

While the victims were being put in the police officers’ patrol cars, more gunfire were heard. The officers found Carriker, chased him and cornered him in the rear alley of 1600 South Frazier Street in Kingsessing.

When Carriker was arrested, he was wearing a bulletproof vest. He also had a handgun, an AR-style rifle, a police scanner and multiple magazines.

The victims were taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia. Their names have yet to be released.

Aside from Carriker, another person was taken into custody/ The latter is accused of picking up a gun and firing shots at Carriker.
