Kevin Granados-Elizalde, 25, of Redwood City, San Francisco Peninsula, San Mateo County, California, United States was an employee of the Boys & Girls Club of the Peninsula, a free summer camp program held at Fiesta Gardens International School in San Mateo, San Mateo County. The program is for students in grades between kindergarten and fifth grade. 

Granados-Elizalde is accused of preying on boys while he was working at the school as an assistant site director. In one incident, he allegedly took a boy, then 7, into a bathroom where he made him undress, spread his buttocks and photographed him.

The Redwood City resident allegedly took an another boy, then 8, into a bathroom, ordered the boy to take off his clothing and took photographs of the boy’s body. After being victimized by the camp staffer multiple times, the boy finally told his mother.

On June 28, 2023, the mother contacted the San Mateo Police Department. Officers from the department immediately arrested Granados-Elizalde.

During Granados-Elizalde’s arrest, he confessed that he is addicted to child pornography. Investigators found pornographic videos on the Boys and Girls Club of the Peninsula employee’s cellphone.

On June 30, 2023, Granados-Elizalde made his first court appearance in the San Mateo County Hall of Justice in Redwood City and requested an attorney through the Private Defender Program. He was ordered by the judge to remain in custody with no bail.

Charged with committing lewd or lascivious acts with a child, using an underage person for obscene matter and possessing child pornography, Granados-Elizalde did not enter a plea. On July 7, 2023, he will return to court for arraignment.
