Herlene Nicole Policarpio Budol, 23, of Angono, Rizal, Philippines has been crowned Miss Tourism Philippines 2023. The comedienne and social media content creator will represent the Philippines at Miss Tourism World 2023.
Born in Angono, Budol is her father Herber Budol‘s only child and one of her mother Len-Len Policarpio Budol‘s four children. After Herber and Len-Len separated, Herlene lived with her grandparents in Angono.
Herlene is Binibining Angono ng Sining 2017. On July 17, 2022, she graduated from the College of Saint John Paul II in Cainta, Rizal, Philippines with a bachelor’s degree in tourism management.
On July 31, 2022, Herlene represented Angono at Binibining Pilipinas 2022 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines where she and 39 other candidates competed for the four titles at stake. She ranked fifth and was named the first runner-up.
On August 29, 2022, Wilbert Tolentino officially appointed Herlene as Miss Planet Philippines 2022. She was supposed to represent the Philippines at Miss Planet International 2022 in Uganda but they withdrew from the competition due to the chaotic setbacks caused by the people behind the international beauty pageant.
On July 13, 2023, Herlene represented Angono at Miss Grand Philippines 2023 and competed against 29 other candidates at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila. She ranked third and was crowned Miss Tourism Philippines 2023.
It was Nikki Advincula de Moura, 29, of Cagayan de Oro who won the Miss Grand Philippines 2023 title. Michelle Arceo Kain, 25, of Bagumbayan, Quezon City ranked second and was crowned Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2023.
Aside from the Miss Tourism Philippines 2023, Herlene won several awards. She was Miss Ever Bilena, Miss ArenaPlus, Miss Mermaid Manila Hair and Miss BlueWater Day Spa.
