The Miss Texas USA 2023 coronation night will take place at the Hilton Houston Post Oak Hotel in Houston, Texas, United States on July 15, 2023. It is the 72nd edition of the state-level beauty pageant that selects Texas’s Miss USA candidate.

Currently, Texas is the U.S. state with the most Miss USA placements with 54. The state won the title via Kimberly Tomes in 1977, Laura Martinez Herring in 1985, Christy Fichtner in 1986, Michelle Royer in 1987, Courtney Gibbs in 1988, Gretchen Polhemus in 1989, Chelsi Smith in 1995, Kandace Krueger in 2001, Crystle Stewart in 2008 and R’Bonney Gabriel in the 2022 edition.

Representing Friendswood, Gabriel won Miss Texas USA 2022 at Hilton Houston Post Oak Hotel on July 2, 2022. The respective first, second, third and fourth runners-up were Sydni Leonard of H-Town, Allison Drake of Dallas, Lluvia Alzate of Cypress and Gisela Contreras of Central Laredo.

Gabriel was crowned Miss USA 2022 at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada, USA on October 3, 2022 and Miss Universe 2022 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA on January 14, 2023. Afterwards, Drake was appointed Miss Texas USA 2022.
