Representing Texas, Gabriel won Miss USA 2022 at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada, USA on October 3, 2022. Representing the U.S., she won Miss Universe 2022 at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA on January 14, 2023.
Instead of Leonard, it was Drake who took over as Miss Texas USA 2022. On July 15, 2023, Drake went back to Hilton Post Oak Hotel and crowned Alzate as the new Miss Texas USA.
