The Miss Angola Universo 2023 coronation night will be held at the Hotel de Convenções de Talatona in Luanda, Angola on July 22, 2023. It is the 26th edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Angola’s Miss Universe candidate.
Representing the Netherlands’ Angolan community, Swelia Da Silva Antonio was crowned Miss Angola Universo 2022 at the Pérola dos Navegantes in Benguela, Angola on August 6, 2022. Yasser Coimbrã of Bie and Nelma Tchissola of Cuanza Norte were the respective first and second, runners-up.
Currently, Angola has four Miss Universe placements including the coronation of Leila Lopes in 2011. Representing the African country, Ana José Sebastião and Telma de Jesus Sonhi finished in the Top 15 in 2003 and 2004, respectively, while Micaela Reis finished in the Top 10 in 2007.
