Elísabet Hulda Snorradóttir biography: 13 things about Miss Universe Iceland 2020

Elísabet Hulda Snorradóttir is an Icelandic model and beauty queen. Born and raised in Reykjavík, Iceland, she has six siblings.

Aside from Icelandic and English, Snorradóttir also speaks conversational Mandarin Chinese, Japanese and Korean. She is passionate about international travel and communication.

By 2020, Snorradóttir has visited 20 countries including China, Japan and South Korea. She financed her own trips.

In China, Snorradóttir visited the Great Wall of China and Tiananmen Square. In Japan, she attended a language school.

3. On August 31, 2019, she and 21 other Miss Universe Iceland 2019 candidates competed for three titles at the Stapi Hall Hljómahöll in Njarðvík, Reykjanesbær, Iceland. She ranked fourth.

During the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, which started global lockdown in March 2020, she was involved with the Icelandic Red Cross and the program Tölum Saman, which teaches immigrants the Icelandic language so they can successfully enter the job markets and educational systems. She also worked with the charity Bumbuloni, which provides financial support to families with chronically ill children.
5. On October 23, 2020, she was crowned Miss Universe Iceland 2020 at the Stapi Center in Reykjanesbær. She represented Glacier Lagoon. While reigning as Miss Universe Iceland 2020, she was pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Chinese studies at the University of Iceland in Reykjavík.
6. She was 22 years old when she represented Iceland in Miss Universe 2020 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Broward County, Florida, United States on May 16, 2021. She was unplaced.
7. On September 29, 2021, she crowned her successor Miss Universe Iceland 2021 Elísa Gróa Steinþórsdóttir at Gamla Bio in Reykjavik, Iceland.
8. On April 14, 2022, she was at Central Park in New York City, New York, USA.
9. From August 2022 to November 2022, she lived in Seoul, South Korea.
10. In January 2023, she was in Grindavík, Iceland.
