Matthew Brackley is an American electrician from Waldoboro, Lincoln County, Maine, United States. He was born and raised in New Vineyard, Franklin County, Maine.

For his participation in the U.S. Capitol riot on January 6, 2021, he was charged with felony offenses of assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers and civil disorder and misdemeanor offenses of entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds; disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds; engaging in physical violence in a restricted building or grounds; disorderly conduct in a capitol building; act of physical violence in the capitol grounds or buildings; and parading, picketing, and demonstrating in a U.S. Capitol building.

  1. Matt was also raised in a fringe religious cult in New vineyard. This cult is where he met his wife. His parents are still involved in the cult. Matt has some very “unconventional” views, especially concerning religion. I worked with Matt at Bath Iron Works in the Estimating department from 2012 until he left the company in 2014.
