Marcus James Alexander, 37, has been a Bexar County Sheriff’s Office deputy in Bexar County, Texas, United States since July 2022. Most recently, he was assigned to West Patrol.

In June 2023, Alexander allegedly touched a juvenile inappropriately and took inappropriate photos of the juvenile. He allegedly kept the photos on his cell phone.

There are still no details about the relationship between Alexander and the victim. It has yet to be confirmed if the alleged abuse happened while he was on duty as a Bexar County Sheriff’s Office deputy.

On July 22, 2023, an individual confronted Alexander the inappropriate photos he allegedly took in June 2023. He became evasive and denied having photos so the individual called the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office and reported the crime.

Alexander was detained and taken in for questioning. Investigators were able to obtain sufficient evidence to file a warrant for his arrest.

Subsequently, Alexander turned himself in on a warrant for indecency with a child, a second-degree felony. He was immediately placed on unpaid leave.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office deputy was served with a proposed termination pending the outcome of the investigation. His weapons and credentials were confiscated.
