Carlethia Nichole “Carlee” Robinson Russell is an American nursing student from Hoover, Alabama, United States. After graduating from Spain Park High School in Hoover, Alabama, she went to Auburn University at Montgomery in Montgomery, Alabama.

Russell is 5’4″ tall and her registered weight is 150 pounds. She is Carlos Rusell and Talitha Robinson Russell‘s daughter and Kymari Johnson‘s sister.

On July 13, 2023, Carlee searched on Google the words “how to take money from a register without being caught” at 1:03 a.m., “Birmingham bus station” at 2:13 a.m., “1-way ticket from Birmingham to Nashville July 13” at 2:35 a.m. and “Taken film about abduction” at 12:10 p.m. At around 8:20 p.m. she left work at Woodhouse Spa at the Summit shopping center in Birmingham, Alabama.

After work, Carlee picked up dinner at the Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe in the Colonade in Birmingham and bought snack food at the Target on U.S. 280. At 9:34 p.m., she called 911 to report a male toddler walking on I-459 South, a highway that runs south of Birmingham.

Carlee said she pulled over to check on the child while she was on the phone with Johnson’s girlfriend, who heard her scream before losing contact with her on the call. When Hoover Police Department officers arrived, they found her red Mercedes-Benz running with many of her personal belongings inside.

1. On October 26, 2018, her uncle Glenn Robinson Jr. passed away at age 34.

I could never repay you for the endless nights you spent helping me study growing up, taking me to Walmart to get supplies for a project at 8 pm the night before it was due.”

At 10:44 p.m. on July 15, 2023, she returned home in Hoover alone and on foot. She was transported to UAB Hospital in Birmingham and was released on July 16, 2023. On July 19, 2023, Hoover Police Department chief Nick Derzis announced that investigators have been unable to verify most of her initial statement about her abduction claim. On July 20, 2023, Woodhouse Spa owner Stuart Rome fired her. On July 24, 2023, through her attorney Emery Anthony, she admitted to lying about what happened on July 13, 2023.
13. She was 25 years old when she was arrested on July 28, 2023. She was charged with false reporting to law enforcement authorities and falsely reporting an incident. She was given a $1,000 bond for each charge and released on bond shortly after being booked.
