The Miss Universe British Virgin Islands 2023 coronation ceremony will be held at the Eileene L. Parsons Auditorium of the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College campus in Paraquita Bay, Tortola, British Virgin Islands on August 20, 2023. It is the second edition of the national beauty pageant that selects the British Virgin Islands’ Miss Universe candidate.
Between 1979 and 2019, the winner of Miss British Virgin Islands represented the British Virgin Islands in Miss Universe. In 2021, Xaria Penn won the inaugural edition of Miss Universe British Virgin islands.
Lia Claxton was appointed as the British Virgin Islands’ Miss Universe 2022 candidate. She was one of the two Miss Universe British Virgin Islands 2021 runners-up.
The British Virgin Islands made its Miss Universe debut in 1977 and has yet to place in the competition. Representing the country, Abigal Hyndman was sixth runner-up in the Best National Costume competition in 2012 and Erika Renae Creque finished in the Top 12 also in the Best National Costume competition in 2016.
