Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu is an Indian actor, model and beauty queen who advocates for mental health. She is the third Miss Universe from India.

BIOGRAPHY

Born and raised in Chandigarh, India in a Sikh family, Sandhu is fluent in Hindi, Punjabi and English. Her father Pritampal Singh Sandhu is a realtor and her mother Rabinder Kaur Sandhu is a gynecologist.

Harnaaz attended Shivalik Public School and Post Graduate Government College for Girls, which are both in Chandigarh. She was pursuing her master’s degree in public administration when she won Miss Diva 2021.

• On July 8, 2018, she auditioned for Yamaha Fascino Miss Diva 2018 Chandigarh at Golden Tulip Chandigarh in Panchkula, Haryana, India. She was a finalist. 

2019

• On June 15, 2019, she represented Punjab at Femina Miss India 2019 and competed against 29 other candidates at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Indoor Stadium in Mumbai, India. She finished in the Top 12.
• She was featured in the music video of The Landers’ song “Tarhthalli“, which was released in October 2019.

2021

• On September 30, 2021, she represented Chandigarh at Miss Diva 2021 and competed against 19 other finalists at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Mumbai. She won the title.
• She was featured in the music video of “Bewajah“, which was released on November 9, 2021.
• On December 12, 2021, she represented India at Miss Universe 2021, competed against 79 other candidates in Eilat, Israel and won the crown.

2022

• On April 30, 2022, she served as a judge at Miss Universe Philippines 2022 in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines.
• On June 8, 2022, she attended Facticerie: The Factice Collection by Sudhir Gupta at BG Restaurant, Bergdorf Goodman in New York City.
