The Miss South Africa 2023 coronation ceremony will be held at the SunBet Arena at Time Square in Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa on August 13, 2023. It is the 65th edition of the national beauty pageant that selects South Africa’s Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss Supranational candidates.
On August 13, 2022, Ndavi Nokeri of Tzaneen, Limpopo was crowned Miss South Africa 2022 at the SunBet Arena in Time Square in Pretoria while Ayanda Thabethe of Taylor’s Halt, KwaZulu-Natal was first runner-up. Nokeri finished in the Top 16 at Miss Universe 2022 and Thabethe finished in the Top 24 at Miss Supranational 2023.
Currently, South Africa has 20 Miss Universe placements including the coronation of Margaret Gardiner in 1978, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters in 2017 and Zozibini Tunzi in 2019. The African country has five Miss Supranational placements including the coronation of Lalela Mswane in 2022.
From 30 quarterfinalists to 12 semifinalists, only seven finalists are still in the running towards becoming Miss South Africa 2023. I believe these five finalists will make it to the top:
