The Miss Universe Guyana 2023 coronation ceremony will be held Guyana Marriott Hotel in Georgetown, Guyana on September 2, 2023. It is the 34th edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Guyana’s Miss Universe candidate.
This is also the first edition of Miss Universe Guyana under its new national director Teri Brown Walker of APPLY Productions LLC. Rafieya Husain was crowned Miss Universe Guyana 2017 at York College in Queens, New York City, New York, United States on August 19, 2017 and she was not able to crown her successor from 2018 to 2022.
Guyana has yet to have a Miss Universe placement. Rosalind Iva Joan Fung became the first Miss Universe candidate to represent Guyana in 1956 followed by Clyo Fernandez in 1958 and Gloria Blackman in 1963.
There are eight women competing for the Miss Universe Guyana 2023 crown. Here are the candidates:
