Robert Grayson Shiver is an American former football player born in Thomasville, Thomas County, Georgia, United States. He is a former resident of Tallahassee, Florida, USA and an alumnus of Brookwood School in Thomasville and Auburn University in Auburn, Lee County, Alabama, USA.
Shiver is 1 year older than his wife Lindsay Shirley Shiver. They have a house in the Bahamas and they have three sons together.
In 2004, Robert graduated from Brookwood School where he played football, basketball, baseball and tennis. From 2006 to 2008, Robert played long snapper at Auburn University and in August 2007, he first met Lindsay at a fitness class at the university.
In 2009, Robert joined Senior Life Insurance Company in Thomasville and went on to become the executive vice president of the company. He is Allen L. Shiver and Robin R. Shiver‘s son.

- On April 5, 2023, he filed for divorce on grounds of Lindsay’s adulterous conduct. While married to him, she was having an affair with Terrance Adrian Bethel, then 28, of Abaco. On April 6, 2023, she also filed for divorce. They were due in the Thomas County Superior Court in Thomasville on July 20, 2023 each with counterclaims against the other.
- On July 16, 2023, police were called after a dispute between him and Lindsay at their residence in Thomasville. She claimed he pushed her as they were packing to head to the Bahamas with their children, which he denied, and the officers left without making an arrest. On July 20, 2023, Bahamian police discovered a plot crafted by Lindsay, Bethel and Farron Newbold Jr., then 29, of Abaco to kill him. On July 21, 2023, the three were arrested in Abaco and booked into the Fox Hill Prison in Nassau, Bahamas. On August 1, 2023, he helped the three get emergency bail.
