Danny Dixon, 30, of Flint, Wales is set to earn his sixth professional mixed martial arts victory. He will fight “Black Mamba” Denislav Hadzhiev (Денислав Хаджиев), 24, of Stara Zagora, Bulgaria in an upcoming Full Contact Contender event.
Featuring 17 MMA matches, “FCC 35” will be held at Liverpool Olympia in Liverpool, England on September 9, 2023. In the 14th bout, Dixon and Hadzhiev will battle it out in the lightweight division.
Hadzhiev is an alumnus of the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation. When he turned professional, he submitted two fellow Bulgarian MMA fighters namely Stilian Krasimirov at “Real Pain Challenge: New Age” in Botevgrad, Bulgaria on March 12, 2022 and Vasile Chekan at “The Future MMA 1” in Stara Zagora on September 3, 2022.
“FCC 35” marks Hadzhiev’s FCC debut. He currently holds a professional MMA record of 2 wins and 2 losses.
On the other hand, Dixon has 5 wins and 2 losses. Before “FCC 35”, Dixon has competed in two FCC events.
When Dixon was an amateur MMA fighter, he competed in Shinobi War, Masda Fight Night and Cage Warriors. On December 15, 2019, he made his professional MMA debut at “K1 Xtreme: The Celtic Invasion” at the Deeside Leisure Centre in Deeside, Wales where he lost to Skien, Norway’s Enar Bergby via unanimous decision.
On February 29, 2020, Dixon bounced back by defeating Manchester, England’s Will Cairns via technical knockout at “UK Fighting Championships 13” at The Imperial in Preston, England. On November 22, 2020, the Welsh MMA fighter defeated Leeds, England’s Ryan Taylor via technical knockout at “Celtic Gladiator 28” in Manchester.
On July 9, 2022, Dixon knocked out his fellow Welsh MMA fighter Will O’Reily at “Dragon Fight League 1” at the Deeside Leisure Centre. In the same venue on October 29, 2022, Dixon defeated Stockholm, Sweden’s Martin Fouda Afana Bipouna via technical knockout at “Dragon Fight League 2”.
On March 25, 2023, Dixon knocked out Ceara, Brazil’s Douglas Alves de Araujo Fonteles at “FCC 33” at the Bolton Arena in Horwich, Bolton, England. On June 17, 2023, he lost to West Sussex, England’s Harry Davies via technical knockout at “FCC 34” at Liverpool Olympia.
