Matthew Ryan Galhouse, 40, of Tampa, Hillsborough County, Florida, United States started serving as a coach for the Lady Hawks club softball team in 2018. He is not employed at any school in Pasco County, Florida.
In March 2023, Galhouse allegedly started spending time with an underage member of the softball team. He allegedly sent her illicit messages through social media and met with her while pretending to give her private softball lessons.
On August 17, 2023, the alleged victim contacted the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office and gave details of the allegations against Galhouse. Shortly after, deputies started investigating the Tampa man.
On August 25, 2023, the deputies arrested Galhouse. He was charged with sexual battery with a victim between 12 and 18, sexual activity with a suspect over 24 and a victim aged 16/17, promoting sexual activity with a victim 16 years or younger, traveling to meet a minor and stalking.
On August 24, 2006, Galhouse registered to vote in Hernando County, Florida. He has no party affiliation.
Aside from Tampa, Galhouse has lived in other parts of Florida including Spring Hill, Lutz, Saint Petersburg, Largo, Pinellas Park and Clearwater. He co-owns Titan Collectibles, which is based in Tampa and registered on September 17, 2020.
