TriStar Summit Medical Center is a 218-bed comprehensive facility that offers cardiology, emergency, oncology, orthopedics, rehabilitation and women’s services. The hospital employs more than 300 board-certified physicians representing more than 36 specialties.

On January 20, 2015, it was announced that Tristar Summit Medical Center would pay $40,000 in a settlement with the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) of the Department of Health and Human Services. The hospital settled allegations by the OIG that it illegally transferred a patient that had come to its emergency department after consuming a bottle of antifreeze without stabilizing the patient’s medical condition first.
