• On August 16, 2023, he was convicted of first-degree murder and possessing an instrument of crime in the killing of Brandão.

• On August 31, 2023, he escaped from the Chester County Prison in West Chester, Pennsylvania.
• At around 12:30 a.m. on September 2, 2023, he was seen on a residential surveillance camera in the 1800 block of Lenape Road, about a mile and a half from the Chester County Prison.
• On September 3, 2023, a Pennsylvania State Police trooper spotted him from a distance and chased after him but the trooper was unable to capture the fugitive due to the terrain and other obstacles.
• On September 4, 2023, he was recorded passing by a trail camera in Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania when he was heading north at 8:21 p.m. and when he returned south at 9:33 p.m.
• On September 5, 2023, he was spotted near Chandler Road in Pennsbury Township, Pennsylvania.
• On September 9, 2023, he stole a 2020 Ford Transit  van from Baily’s Dairy Farm in West Chester but abandoned it in a field behind a barn farther west in East Nantmeal Township, Pennsylvania after it ran out of gas.
• On September 10, 2023, he was spotted on camera in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania with a changed appearance. That day, Pennsylvania State Police lieutenant colonel George Bivens confirmed that the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested his sister Eleni due to immigration issues.
• At around 10:00 p.m. on September 11, 2023, he entered the garage of a residence on Coventryville Road in Pottstown, Pennsylvania and stole a .22 rifle. The homeowner shot at him as he fled with the rifle.
• Just after 8:00 a.m. on September 13, 2023, he was captured in a wooded area in West Chester County.
