Bryan James Koviak, 41, of Paw Paw, Van Buren County, Michigan, United States previously lived in Park City, Utah, USA. Aside from Paw Paw, he has lived in other parts of Michigan including Kalamazoo.
Koviak was recently arrested. He is accused of possessing child pornography.
An undercover investigation led the Michigan State Police to digital evidence at his residence in Paw Paw. The evidence was seized and he was taken into custody.
Koviak’s online activity showed that he had been possessing and distributing child pornography and the evidence was seized. On September 11, 2023, he was arraigned in the 7th District Court in South Haven, Michigan.
Koviak was charged with aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and using a computer to commit a crime. If found guilty, he faces a maximum sentence of 20 years behind bars.
Paw Paw is a village at the confluence of the east and south branches of the Paw Paw River, which flows through Van Buren County and Berrien County, Michigan. Native Americans named the river after the paw paw fruit that grew abundantly along its banks.
Born in Paw Paw, Shayne Whittington, 32, currently serves as an assistant coach for the National Basketball Association team Indiana Pacers. Former National Football League player Jason Babin, 43, attended Paw Paw High School in Paw Paw.
