Tendai Hunda was Miss Zimbabwe 2014 first runner-up. On December 14, 2014, she represented Zimbabwe at Miss World 2014, competed against 120 other candidates at the ExCeL London in London, England, United Kingdom and was unplaced.
On December 18, 2025, Hunda represented Zimbabwe at Miss Intercontinental 2015 and competed against 61 other candidates at the Grand Ballroom of Maritim Congress Hotel in Magdeburg, Germany. She was fourth runner-up to Valentina Rasulova of Russia.
On April 4, 2023, Hunda officially became the national director of Miss Universe Zimbabwe. On May 18, 2023, she turned 32.
Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2023
On September 16, 2023, the new Miss Universe Zimbabwe will be crowned at the Harare Hippodrome in Braeside, Harare, Zimbabwe. It is the third edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Zimbabwe’s Miss Universe candidate and its first edition under Hunda’s directorship.
From 25 candidates, only 12 are still on the running towards becoming Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2023. I believe these five finalists will be on top:

Currently, Zimbabwe has one Miss Universe placement. The African country was represented in the international beauty pageant by the winner of Miss Zimbabwe Universe between 1994 and 1997 and Miss Paradise Competition between 1998 and 2000.
On May 12, 2000, Corinne Crewe competed against 78 other Miss Universe 2000 candidates at the Eleftheria Indoor Hall in Nicosia, Cyprus. She finished in the Top 10.
In 2001, Tsungai Muswerakuenda won the inaugural edition of Miss Universe Zimbabwe under Miss Universe Zimbabwe 1994 Yvette D’Almeida Chakras‘s directorship. Lisa Morgan won the second edition in 2011 and represented Zimbabwe in Miss International instead of Miss Universe.
