Miss Zimbabwe 2014 first runner-up Tendai Hunda was also Miss World Zimbabwe 2014 and Miss Intercontinental 2015 fourth runner-up. On April 4, 2023, she officially became the national director of Miss Universe Zimbabwe.
On September 16, 2023, Brooke Bruk-Jackson was crowned Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2023 at the Harare Hippodrome in Braeside, Harare, Zimbabwe. It is the third edition of the national beauty pageant that selects the country’s Miss Universe candidate and its first edition under Hunda’s directorship.

Currently, Zimbabwe has one Miss Universe placement. The African country was represented in the international beauty pageant by Yvette D’Almeida-Chakras in 1994, Langa Sibanda-Lloyd in 1996, Lorraine Magwenzi in 1997, Rachel Stuart in 1998, Corinne Crewe in 2000 and Tsungai Muswerakuenda in 2001.
On May 12, 2000, Crewe competed against 78 other Miss Universe 2000 candidates at the Eleftheria Indoor Hall in Nicosia, Cyprus. She finished in the Top 10.
