Alia Guindi of Fully, Martigny, Valais, Switzerland is a model and a dance teacher. On September 2, 2022, she competed against 12 other Miss Universe Switzerland 2022 candidates at La Marive in Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland and won the title.

Runner-up to Guindi was Nicole Zimmermann of Fribourg. The respective second, third and fourth runners-up were Tiphaine Sagne of Neuchâtel, Zolanny Encarnacion of Basel and Sashi Chiesa of Basel.

Miss Universe Switzerland 2023

On September 23, 2023, Guindi will crown her successor at Hotel Hilton Geneve in Geneva, Switzerland. It is the fourth edition of the national beauty pageant that selects the Miss Universe candidate of the country.

Switzerland was represented in Miss Universe by the winner of Miss Schweiz in 1953, from 1960 to 1990, from 1992 to 2013 and in 2018. Zoé Metthez of Zürich won Miss Universe Switzerland in 2014 and Dijana Cvijetić of St. Gallen was the appointed titleholder in 2016.

In 2014, François Matthey became the national director of Miss Universe Switzerland. He was replaced by Veeranda Aeberli in 2016, Angela Fuchs, Iwan Meyer and Andrea Meyer in 2018 and Bernard Poffet in 2022.

Currently, Switzerland has 12 Miss Universe placements including the third runner-up finish of Lolita Morena in 1983 and the second runner-up finish of Lauriane Gilleron in 2006. The most recent one was the Top 16 finish of Dominique Rinderknecht in 2013.

On January 14, 2023, Guindi represented Switzerland at Miss Universe 2022 and competed against 83 other candidates at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States. She was unplaced.
