The Miss Universe Italy 2023 coronation ceremony will be held at Lo Smeraldo Ricevimento di Lusso in Puglia, Italy on October 8, 2023. It is the 19th edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Italy’s Miss Universe candidate.
On September 18, 2022, Virginia Stablum of Trentino-Alto Adige was crowned Miss Universe Italy 2022 at Lo Smeraldo Ricevimento di Lusso. The respective first and second runners-up were Michela Russo of Sicilia and Chiara Davanzo of Friuli Venezia Guilia.
Italy was represented in Miss Universe by the winner of Miss Universe Italy in 1953, in 1971 and from 2007 to 2022, Miss Italia in 1952, from 1954 to 1970 and from 1972 to 1999 and The Miss for Miss Universe from 2000 to 2005. The candidates in 1967, 1976 and 1979 were Miss Italia runners-up.
Currently, Italy has 16 Miss Universe placements including the first runner-up of Daniela Bianchi in 1960 and Roberta Capua in 1987. The most recent one was in 2014 when Valentina Bonariva finished in the Top 15.
