Aya Abdelrazik is an Egyptian doctor, actor, model and beauty queen born and raised in Cairo, Egypt. She attended the Ain Shams University, Faculty of Medicine in Cairo.
“Once I enrolled my name in med school, which was the major I dreamed of since I was younger, I started to look for what I’m passionate about,” Abdelrazik told Flair Magazine in December 2020. “I began taking acting workshops and small roles as a hobby. Then, once I got announced as Miss Universe Egypt, people from the cinema production field have started offering me promising deals in acting.”
Amid the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Abdelrazik withdrew her participation at Miss Universe 2020, which was held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, United States on May 16, 2021. On December 15, 2021, she wrote on Instagram, “I’ve received a lot of questions why I didn’t participate in Miss Universe taking place in Eilat, Israel.”
“With all due the respect to all the organization, I couldn’t put my humanity aside and not stand with the people who are fighting for the bare minimal for their basic life needs even if it coasts me a lifetime dream as big as participating in Miss Universe,” Abdelrazik continued. “I wish all the girls the best of luck and congratulations to our beautiful queen Miss India. And for me I still hope I can make it to the next edition.”
In 2021, Abdelrazik starred in “El Nemr”, “Shaqqa 6” and “Ajaza Maftouha”. In 2023, she starred in “Batn El Hoot”.
