The Miss Universe Portugal 2023 coronation ceremony will be held at the Borba Events Pavilion in Borba, Portugal on October 5, 2023. It is the sixth edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Portugal’s Miss Universe candidate.
Portugal was represented in Miss Universe by the winner of Miss Portugal in 1960, in 1962, in 1965, from 1970 to 1974, in 1979, from 1981 to 1990, from 1992 to 2002, Miss Universe Portugal in 2011 and from 2014 to 2017 and Miss Republica Portuguesa from 2018 to 2021. On July 6, 2022, Telma Madeira was appointed Miss Universe Portugal 2022.
Currently, Portugal has three Miss Universe placements. Representing the European country in the international beauty pageant, Laura Gonçalves finished in the Top 10 in 2011, Sylvie Silva finished in the Top 20 in 2019 and Madeira finished in the Top 16 in the 2022 edition.
