Jamie-Leigh Kelly, 31, has links to Thurrock, Essex, England, United Kingdom and areas in Havering, London, England. She gave birth to a daughter in 2020 and to a son just weeks ago.
At 7:40 p.m. on September 19, 2023, Kelly left a family assessment center for vulnerable mothers and children in Colindale, London with her daughter and her son. They entered a blue Ford Fiesta, which drove away at speed, then went missing.
On September 24, 2023, Kelly’s two children were located at an address in Harwich, Essex. A woman, 63, was arrested at the same address in Harwich on suspicion of child abduction, assisting an offender and perverting the course of justice.
Authorities have yet to release the name of the elderly woman. Dagenham, London’s Ashley Hawkins, 52, and Jordan Hardy, 30, were also arrested.
Kelly was held after attending a police station in London. Both of her children were taken to hospital as a precaution after being taken into police protection.
On September 25, 2023, Hawkins and Hardy will appear at Southend Magistrates’ Court in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. They were each charged with two counts of child abduction.
