Edward Stanley Kramarczyk, 53, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, United States is a former resident of Northport, Alabama. Recently hired by the Tuscaloosa County School System, he joined Hillcrest High School in Tuscaloosa as a career technical education teacher.
Kramarczyk used to be a foster parent. He had access to children not only through his occupation as a teacher but also through other social groups.
In 2022, Kramarczyk allegedly sexually abused a juvenile, who was not a Hillcrest High School student. The alleged victim is a former juvenile household member of the teacher.
Recently, the Sexual Assault Section of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit received a report of a juvenile sexual assault. The alleged victim named Kramarczyk as the suspect.
By September 28, 2023, sufficient evidence was gathered to charge Kramarczyk with sexual abuse of a child under 12 and first-degree sodomy. He was arrested that day.
The charges do not stem from anything that happened at school, according to the Tuscaloosa County School System, which is expected to place Kramarczyk on administrative leave pending a criminal investigation. He is being held without a bond in the Tuscaloosa County Jail in Tuscaloosa pending a court appearance.
