Dr. Vladimir V. Iakomi, 64, of Lititz, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, United States is a physician at Plain Community Health Care in Bart Township, Lancaster County. Aside from Lititz and Bart Township, he has lived in other parts of Pennsylvania including Lancaster, Christiana and Conestoga.
In 1982, Iakomi graduated from the Universitatea de Stat de Medicină și Farmacie „Nicolae Testemițanu” in Chișinău, Moldova. From 2000 to 2002, he completed his family medicine residency at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa, Hillsborough County, Florida, USA.
On September 30, 2023, a woman received medical treatment from Iakomi at Plain Community Health Care. She fell asleep inside the office and around 30 minutes later, she woke up and noticed her body position had changed.
The woman was facing down toward the table. According to her, Iakomi rubbed and squeezed her lower back and buttocks.
“Does this feel good?” Iakomi allegedly asked the woman. He allegedly pull her dress up and tried to pull down her underwear.
An arrest warrant for Iakomi was obtained and he was arrested. Judge Dennis Comins arraigned the doctor.
Bail for Iakomi was set at $125,000. He was booked into the Lancaster County Prison in Lancaster and released after posting bail.
On October 13, 2023, Iakomi will attend his preliminary hearing. His mugshot has yet to be released.
