Kirstie Molandes Russell, 33, of Lufkin, Texas, United States is a math teacher at Vista Ridge High School in Cedar Park, Texas. She previously lived in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA.
Aside from Lufkin, Russell has lived in other parts of Texas including Boerne, Spring Branch and San Marcos. She is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student while she was employed as a math teacher.
On September 5, 2023, the Leander Independent School District received information about the inappropriate relationship. That day, the school district placed Russell on administrative leave pending an investigation by the Cedar Park Police Department.
Whether or not the student Russell allegedly had a relationship with was her student has yet to be confirmed. The student’s age was also not revealed.
Vista Ridge High School has arranged for a a long-term substitute to take over Russell’s class. She has been arrested and charged with indecency with a child sexual contact.
On October 10, 2023, families of the students attending the school were informed about the allegation against Russell. On the same day, she was booked into the Williamson County Jail in Georgetown, Texas.
