Sherika “Shey” de Armas Elias of Montevideo, Uruguay has died. She was 26.
De Armas was a model and a beauty queen. She is Mayk’ de Armas‘s sister.
Shey was 5’9″ tall. She is the founder of the Shey De Armas Beauty Studio.
On April 26, 2015, Shey competed against 14 other Miss Uruguay 2015 finalists at Hotel Sofitel Montevideo Casino Carrasco and Spa in Montevideo. The beauty pageant was broadcast on VTV.
Two finalists were crowned. Shey was Miss Mundo Uruguay 2015 while Bianca Sanchez was Miss Universo Uruguay 2015.
On December 19, 2015, Shey represented Uruguay at Miss World 2015 and competed against 113 other candidates at the Crown of Beauty Theatre in Sanya. China. She was unplaced.
Aside from modelling, Shey also dedicated her time to the Fundación Pérez Scremini, which works for the cure of childhood cancer in Uruguay. She sold beauty and lifestyle products through the Shey De Armas Beauty Studio, as well.
In 2021, Shey was diagnosed with cervical cancer. On October 11, 2023, she passed away.
