Michael Keith Free, 34, of Waco, McLennan County, Texas, United States previously lived in Bellmead, McLennan County, in West, McLennan County and in Hillsboro, Hill County, Texas. He is accused of sexually abusing a girl under the age of 14 in Bellmead from November 2015 to February 2021.
On April 28, 2022, Free was indicted on a continuous sexual abuse of a child charge. He is set to appear in Waco’s 54th State District Court on October 18, 2023 to enter a guilty plea and is represented by Gerald Villarrial.
While Free was out on bond in the child sexual abuse, he was accused of committing another crime. His phone was found recording a girl, 17, who was taking a shower in a residence in Waco.
At around 6:00 p.m. on October 9, 2023, Waco Police Department officers responded to the residence after someone called 911 to report the crime. According to the alleged victim, she found a cellphone under a piles of clothes in the corner of a bathroom.
Free took the cellphone from the girl and deleted the video. He repeatedly told the officers he recorded her in the bathroom by accident.
The officers arrested Free and booked him into McLennan County Jail in Waco. Later that day, he was released from jail after posting a $10,000 bond.
