“In the Fire” is a thriller film starring Amber Heard, Eduardo Noriega, Lorenzo McGovern Zaini, Luca Calvani and Yari Gugliucci. Set in the 1890s, it was directed by Conor Allyn, who co-wrote the screenplay with Pascal Borno and Silvio Muraglia.
On June 24, 2023, the film made its world premiere at the Taormina Film Festival in Taormina, Italy. Based in Los Angeles, California, United States, Saban Films released the film in the U.S. on October 13, 2023.
Borno and Muraglia produced “In the Fire” with Andrea Iervolino, Monica Bacardi and Alain Gillissen. It was filmed in Italy.
Marco Perez edited the film, which features Teho Teardo‘s music. Matt Bendo and Simone Moglie were the cinematographers.
In the film, Heard plays Grace Burnham, a doctor from New York, USA, while Zaini plays Martin Marquez, a boy living in a small and remote plantation and Noriega plays Martin’s father Nicolas Marquez. Calvani and Gugliucci play priests living in the plantation.
Martin is ill and has unexplainable abilities. Locals think he is bringing ill fortune to their village.
Grace goes to the village to treat Martin. She believes he is different but she rejects the locals’ supernatural beliefs about his condition.
