The police department of Baltimore, Maryland, United States is looking for Jovan Terrell Williams, 18, of Washington, D.C., USA, who is considered armed and dangerous. In other documents, his first name is spelled as Jovon.
Williams is 5’10” tall. His registered weight is 160 pounds.
On June 29, 2020, Williams went missing from Buchanan Street in Northeast, Washington, D.C. On April 8, 2021, the DC Police Department announced that he had been found.
On the evening of October 3, 2023, Williams and another Washington, D.C. resident, 17, were allegedly involved in a shooting that interrupted a homecoming week celebration at Morgan State University in Baltimore. Four men and one woman were shot shortly after the coronation of Mister and Miss Morgan State University 2023 at the Murphy Fine Arts Center of the university.
Four of the victims are students of the university. Their injuries were not life-threatening.
The youngest victim is 18 and the oldest is 2022. At around 9:25 p.m., Baltimore Police Department officers responded to a report of the shooting.
Using surveillance video, DC Police Department detectives and federal agents identified Williams and the underage Washington, D.C. resident as the shooting suspects. On October 12, 2023, the underage suspect was arrested.
On October 13, 2023, the Baltimore Police Department announced that an arrest warrant has been issued for Williams. The U.S. Marshals Service is offering up to $10,000 as a reward for information that leads to his arrest while the Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are offering up to $9,000 for tips leading to both an arrest and charges against him.
