William Gordon, 44, of Naugatuck, New Haven County, Connecticut, United States has been arrested. He is accused of kissing a boy, 10.
At around 5:00 p.m. on October 14, 2023, a parent reported to the Naugatuck Police Department a video posted to Gordon’s social media account, which shows him kissing the boy. Police officers responded to the residence of the parent.
The officers observed the video and immediately located Gordon. When asked by the officers, the Naugatuck man admitted to kissing the boy as part of a social media trend.
Gordon did not have direct care of the boy. The suspect was arrested and his cellphone was seized as evidence in the investigation.
Initially, surety bond for Gordon was set at $500,000. He was charged with cruelty to persons, risk of injury to a minor and impairing morals.
On October 16, 2023, Gordon was arraigned in the Superior Court in Waterbury, New Haven County. His bond was reduced to $90,000 and he was released.
On November 16, 2023, Gordon will be back in court. The Connecticut Department of Children and Families has been notified and is involved in services with the boy Gordon kissed.
