Identified as Aidas J., a Lithuanian man, 50, is accused of faking heart attacks at various restaurants in Spain to avoid paying the bill. When committing these cries, he was allegedly usually dressed in designer clothing and he would mix several languages and order a Russian salad.

Over the past year, Aidas tried to scam different restaurants in the southern part of Spain and near Alicante, Valencian Community, Spain at least 20 times, El País reported. He was first arrested for his scams in November 2022.

In September 2023, Aidas ordered a seafood paella and two whiskeys at El Buen Comer in Alicante. The total cost was 34.85 euros ($36.75).

An employee noticed that Aidas tried to leave without paying so the employee stopped him, El Buen Comer manager Moisés Doménech told EFE. The Lithuanian man said he was going to his hotel to get money but the employee refused to let him leave without paying.

Aidas pretended to have a heart attack. After confirming he was just pretending, the restaurant staff called the authorities.

Alicante National Police officers arrived at the restaurant and immediately recognized Aidas as a repeat offender. He had been arrested multiple times in Alicante for the same crime.

The Lithuanian man was arrested again. The authorities did not reveal how long he has been residing in Spain.
