Carlos Manuel Rivera Hood, 34, of Anderson, Madison County, Indiana, United States is accused of sexually abusing a child with autism. His relationship with the victim was not disclosed.
A video, which was stamped for August 10, 2023, shows how Hood sexually assaulted the child. It was taken from an in-home security camera set up in the corner of the living room inside of a residence, according to the Anderson Police Department.
The video was seen by some of Hood’s neighbors. When one neighbor confronted the Anderson man, he claimed that he assaulted the child, he was under the influence of bad drugs.
Another individual confronted Hood about the video. He told the individual that he “wasn’t himself because he would never do that”.
When Anderson Police Department police officers interviewed Hood, he claimed that he confused the child for an adult woman. He also told them he was “set up” and was given a “date rape drug”.
According to Hood, he tried to call for help to get the child off of him. In the video of the crime, however, he did not try to stop or call for help.
At 1:49 p.m. on October 23, 2023, Hood was arrested in Anderson. He was charged with vicarious sexual gratification and two counts of child molestation.
