Alethea R. Ambrosio, 21, of San Rafael, Bulacan, Philippines is The Miss Philippines 2023. She won the title in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines.
Representing Bulacan, Ambrosio competed against 20 other candidates of the inaugural edition of The Miss Philippines at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. She, Cebu City’s Chantal Schmidt, Mandaluyong City’s Issa de los Santos and Northern California, United States’ Blessa Ericha Figueroa were the final four candidates.
Among the four, only Ambrosio answered the final question in Filipino. In the end, she was crowned The Miss Philippines 2023 by Miss Supranational Philippines 2023 Pauline Cucharo Amelinckx, 28, of Bohol, Philippines.
On July 14, 2023, Amelinckx represented the Philippines at Miss Supranational 2023 at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Małopolska, Poland. She was runner-up to Ecuador’s Andrea Aguilera, who also attended the coronation night of The Miss Philippines 2023.
Ambrosio is expected to represent the Philippines at Miss Supranational 2024. Schmidt, de los Santos and Figueroa will also represent the country in international beauty pageants, which will be announced in February 2024.
In August 2021, Ambrocio entered the De La Salle University in Malate, Manila, Metro Manila, Philippines to pursue a bachelor’s degree in economics. On April 16, 2023, she represented the Rotary Club of Taguig West at Miss Rotary 2023 at the Globe Auditorium of the Maybank Performing Arts Theater at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City, Metro Manila and finished in the Top 10.
On September 10, 2023, Ambrocio represented San Rafael at Reyna ng Singkaban 2023 and competed against 17 other candidates at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in Malolos, Bulacan. She ranked second and was crowned Reyna ng Turismo 2023.
