Andrea Valentina Rubio Armas, 24, of Caracas, Venezuela is Miss International 2023. She won the title in Tokyo, Japan.
Born and raised in Caracas, Rubio is a journalist, a fashion designer and a model. She earned her bachelor’s degree in audiovisual communications and multimedia with an emphasis in corporate social responsibility from the Universidad de la Sabana in Chia, Colombia.
On November 16, 2022, Rubio represented Portuguesa at Miss Venezuela 2022 and competed against 23 other candidates at the Poliedro de Caracas in Caracas. She ranked second and was crowned Miss Venezuela International 2022.
Hosted by Tetsuya Bessho and Rachel Chan, the Miss International 2023 coronation ceremony was held at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Shibuya, Tokyo on October 26, 2023. Including Rubio, 70 women competed for the title.
Runner-up to Rubio was Sofia Osio, 23, of Colombia and the respective second, third and fourth runners-up were Camila Diaz, 23, of Peru, Nicole Yance Borromeo, 22, of the Philippines and Vanessa Hayes, 24, of Bolivia. Itzia Margarita García, 22, of Mexico and Supaporn Ritthipruek, 27, of Thailand finished in the Top 7.
Rubio received the Miss International 2023 crown from Jasmin Selberg, 24, of Dortmund, Germany. They are the respective 60th and 61st holders of the title.
Representing Germany, Selberg was crowned Miss International 2022 on December 13, 2022 at the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo. The respective first, second, third and fourth runners-up were Stephany Amado of Cape Verde, Tatiana Calmell of Peru, Natalia Lopez of Colombia and Celinee Santos of the Dominican Republic.
