Enrique Aldaz-Garcia, 31, and Carlos Mejia, 27, are residents of Chicago, Illinois, United States. They are both in jail.

Aldaz-Garcia is accused of communicating online with an undercover officer who was posing as a female juvenile. He allegedly went to a hotel in Bolingbrook, Illinois to meet who he thought was an underage girl to engage in sexual conduct.

From October 25-26, 2023, the Illinois State Police conducted an anti-human trafficking operation in the Will County, Illinois area. It focused on identifying adults seeking to engage in commercial sex acts with minors.

As a part of a multifaceted approach by the Illinois State Police aimed at stopping human trafficking in Illinois, the operation resulted in the arrests of six men including Aldaz-Garcia and Mejia. The two Chicago residents were each charged with indecent solicitation of a minor and traveling to meet a minor.

On October 27, 2023, Aldaz-Garcia and two other suspects appeared in court for their detention hearings before Judge Donald DeWilkins. The judge ordered to keep the three suspects detained in jail.

Mejia and the two remaining arrestees are scheduled for detention hearings on October 28, 2023. All of the six arrestees were booked into the Will County Jail in Joliet, Illinois.
